I have been a school social
worker for 23 years and have been at Stepping Stone for 16 years. During this time I have watched the school
grow as we have provided a safe and nurturing environment. As we have offered our educational and
therapeutic services to the community, I have been able to guide and help the
students that have been a part of our school community. Times change, as do
schools, however throughout the changes, we continue to provide a service to
the community which is precious. I am so appreciative to be a part of this
wonderful school community. I am so grateful to be able to share “our safe
port” with all the children and their families who have needed us in the past
and will continue to need us in the future.
We strive to teach and nurture “our kids”, to let them know that they
are OK and that we will help to guide them and their families on their
emotional and educational journeys. The
teachings of Choice Theory help to guide us all in caring for our
students and their families.
