Mrs. Ritchie

Hi! I started student teaching at Stepping Stone back in 1996 and have been teaching the Level 1 primary grade students ever since. During the summer, I’ve also been an Extended School Year teacher since the program started several years ago.

I have to say, Stepping Stone is a great place to be!

I teach in conjunction with two excellent instructional aides, Mrs. Grassi and

Mrs. Nagle, who are always eager to assist everyone. Our classroom consists of tables instead of desks to promote a sense of belonging. We work on building the foundations of learning in math, language arts literacy, social studies, and science as well having plenty of opportunities for students to strengthen their social and life skills. Students receive both individualized and group academic instruction throughout the week along with physical education, computers, cooking, and art.

It is important to me that everyone be seen for the unique person that they are.

My vision is to see that each student,

by enhancing their strengths and improving their weaknesses,

is a Shining Star!
